The best short documentary award of the 'Doker Film' went to 'Adoor' by Mohammad-Sadegh Esmaeeli.
'Adoor' narrates the story of a 13-year-old teenager Mostafa who is a victim of separation due to his father's addiction.
Mostafa has never met his mother. Then, on the eve of his father's second marriage; he starts a journey to find his real mother.
The flick is also the winner of the special jury prize of the 13th International Cinema Verite Festival in Iran.
'Adoor' has also been nominated to receive a prize in the international section of Chain's 2022 Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival.
The 10th Moscow International Documentary Film Festival DOKer screens independent non-fiction films.
DOKer is aimed at “analyzing and screening various genres and forms of the world's documentaries as a separate line of cinema in all its esthetic and socio-cultural diversity,” writes the online submission platform of the event.
The 2022 DOKer took place in Moscow from August 15 to 24.
